Canticle of the Sun

A digital stained-glass design in the Art Deco style popular in the 20th century. The widely-used sunburst motif is central, rising behind a green landscape balanced by a tree on one side and clouds and flowers on the other. Geometric shapes are used to emphasize the symmetry of the scene, with both the tree and clouds made of overlapping circles. Various brightly colored fractals give the 'glass' texture and interest. The scene is framed in black ironwork and diamond-shaped blocks frosted with dark but vivid fractal patterns.

This design is in the Art Deco style popular in the early 1900s. I came across a lot of stained-glass designs in my researches, so I decided to try one with the popular sun motif. I had fun picking textures from various Apophysis and Xaos renders, some of which have been sitting on my computer for months or even years. There are bits of Eyes of the Storms, Waltz of the Snowflakes, and Chaos Tie-Dyed in there, as well as others that have never seen the light of day.
